Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Unbelievably Intercourse is in the middle of Amish Country in Lancaster County and was actually where Harrison Ford's fantastic thriller 'Witness' was filmed. Other towns nearby in Bird-in-Hand and Blue Ball. It thrives on tourism and farming and there are little shops selling Amish crafts, food and touristy Horse and cart rides. It was founded in 1754 and originally named Cross Keys after a local tavern or because it was where two main roads intersected "The word 'intercourse' was commonly used to describe the 'fellowship' and 'social interaction and support' shared in the community of faith, which was much a part of a rural village like this one."
